About The Healey Farm & The Bread Barn™

The Healey Farm is home to The Bread Barn™, a small-batch artisan bakery located in Franklin Township, Indianapolis. What began as a passion for baking in our farmhouse kitchen has grown into a local favorite known for fresh sourdough bread, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and handcrafted baked goods served through our Market Weekend events.

 

We are a family-owned business built on faith, hard work, and a deep commitment to our community. Every loaf we bake reflects our belief that food should bring people together — around tables, in homes, and across neighborhoods.

 

A Family Bakery Rooted in Community

We’re the Healeys — Brett, Sheila, and Mason — and The Healey Farm is simply our home, where The Bread Barn™ comes to life.

Our “farm” doesn’t include livestock or crops. Instead, it represents something more meaningful: a place where craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, and community connection grow side by side.

From Franklin Township, we proudly serve families across Indianapolis, Greenwood, Beech Grove, Greenfield, and surrounding areas.

 

Meet the Baker — Sheila Healey

Sheila is the heart behind The Bread Barn™.

As a microbaker and food professional, she specializes in small-batch artisan sourdough bread, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and seasonal baked goods made with patience and care. Every product is handcrafted in our home kitchen using traditional techniques, long fermentation, and high-quality ingredients.

What customers love most isn’t just the flavor — it’s the feeling of homemade comfort that comes with every bite.

 

Our Market Weekend Experience

The Bread Barn™ operates through scheduled Market Weekends and pre-orders, allowing us to focus on quality rather than mass production.

Customers visit us for:
