When The Bread Barn™ first opened, demand exceeded anything we expected — and it hasn’t slowed since. That first Market Day quickly led to pre-orders, expanded menus, and Market Weekends that now feel like a standing tradition.
Today, we bake intentionally in small batches, prioritize pre-orders, and continue growing thoughtfully based on what our community asks for most — from cinnamon rolls to gluten-free options.
The support has been humbling, and we’re grateful to be part of the Franklin Township food scene.

At The Bread Barn™ in Franklin Township, Indianapolis, we’ve created a simple, secure, and welcoming system — just like stopping by a neighbor’s front porch. Our honor-based self-serve stand makes it easy to enjoy artisan sourdough, cinnamon rolls, and cookies fresh from our farmhouse kitchen.

The Bread Barn™
Our menu is intentionally small and baked in limited batches to ensure quality, freshness, and flavor in every bite. What’s available each Market Weekend depends on ingredient availability, seasonal inspiration, and oven capacity — which means every visit feels a little different.
We bake on the first and third Fridays of each month, stocking the self-serve stand by Saturday at 8:00 AM and selling until we’re gone. (Seasonal menus and schedule updates are shared on Facebook.)

My Letter To You...
Hi, I’m Sheila Healey — the hands behind the loaves at The Bread Barn™ here in Franklin Township.
For me, baking isn’t just about feeding people. It’s about slowing down, choosing better ingredients, and honoring the process. Every loaf, roll, and cookie that comes out of my farmhouse kitchen is made by hand, with care you can taste.
We bake on the first and third Fridays of each month so the stand is stocked and ready by Saturday & Sunday mornings during the market weekends. Pre-orders are always labeled and waiting for you, while everything else is available first come, first served.
