The Bread Barn™ Indianapolis | Fresh Farmhouse Bakery, Market Day & Shipping

Updated: Sep 12

At The Bread Barn™ in Indianapolis, our mission is simple: bake with love, serve our neighbors, and keep tradition alive. Whether you’re joining us on Market Day, ordering through Next-Day Select, or enjoying Indiana Shipping, we want every visit to feel like home.

💛 Giving Back at The Bread Barn Indianapolis – A Community Effort

On September 20th, The Bread Barn™ will donate 100% of all pre-order sales to Calvary Tabernacle. This isn’t just about bread — it’s about sowing back into the community that supports us. Every cinnamon roll, every sourdough loaf, and every cookie purchased that day directly fuels ministry efforts serving families right here in Indianapolis.

It’s simple: pre-order, pick up your favorites, and know your purchase goes beyond your table. Together, neighbors can make a difference.

We’re giving back! 💛 100% of pre-order sales on Sept. 20th will be donated to Calvary Tabernacle. Exclusively pre-orders, pick up 8AM–Noon. Order today → pick up Sept. 20th at The Bread Barn™.

That’s why we’ve put together this FAQ guide — so new friends and long-time neighbors alike know exactly how The Bread Barn works, what makes us unique, and why pre-ordering is the best way to secure your favorites.

Market Day is the heart of The Bread Barn™ experience. Twice a month, our greenhouse-turned-bakery opens its doors for a full menu of farmhouse favorites: sourdough loaves, cinnamon rolls, cookies, sweet breads, and seasonal mixes.

Think of it as a celebration of food and fellowship — a chance to stock your pantry, discover new flavors, and meet neighbors who share the same love for fresh, handmade bread.

❓ What is Next-Day Select?

Next-Day Select (sometimes called Weekend Select) is our quick-access option for busy families. Place your order online anytime during the week, and your items will be baked fresh and ready for self-serve pickup Friday through Sunday.

Every Select order is prepaid, labeled, and packaged, so all you have to do is swing by The Bread Barn™, grab your bag, and head home.

👉 Note: If you don’t see the Select Menu open, it’s just paused for that week. Check back — it rotates often!

❓ What is Indiana Shipping?

Good bread shouldn’t be limited to a single neighborhood. With Indiana Shipping, we send select items to doorsteps across the state using USPS Priority Mail.

  • Shipped Monday–Wednesday only to keep everything fresh.

  • Most households in Indiana receive packages within 1–2 days, sometimes 3.

  • Orders are placed through our Etsy shop, where The Healey Farm facilitates fulfillment.

From Evansville to Fort Wayne, Hoosiers can now enjoy The Bread Barn™ wherever they live.

❓ Why Should I Pre-Order?

Pre-ordering ensures you never miss out. Your bag is packed, labeled, and waiting — even if we sell out in person.

It also helps us bake responsibly, reducing food waste while making sure every loaf that leaves our oven is fresh. For special events like Give Back Days, pre-ordering is the only way to secure your favorites while fueling a greater purpose.

❓ How Do I Know If You’re Open?

We keep it simple: when you see the black-and-white Bread Barn flag flying out front, it’s Market Day!

  • Market Days usually fall on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays and Sundays each month.

  • Hours: 8 AM–8 PM (Full Service on Saturday mornings, Self-Service the rest of the weekend).

  • Real-time updates are always shared on Facebook and TheHealeyFarm.com.

❓ Where Do We Park?

Please park along the south fence line where our “Park Here” signs are posted. This keeps the double driveway clear for quick in-and-out pickups.

  • Self-Service (Saturday Noon–8 PM & all day Sunday): The Bread Barn runs on the honor system — browse, bag, and pay with ease.

❓ What Makes The Bread Barn™ Different?

We’re not just a bakery — we’re neighbors. Every item is baked in small batches, using recipes that balance tradition with creativity. Our ethos is people over profits, which means we put community, connection, and care into everything we do.
